The structure of the AI-BIZ Toolkit has been produced

The framework for the AI-BIZ Toolkit, which has been validated through focus groups conducted in Spain, Germany, and the Belgium, serves as the foundation for creating a comprehensive resource aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). This Toolkit will assist SMEs in effectively integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) into their operations.

The framework includes the following key sections:

  1. Introduction and AI Overview: This section provides a brief project description and introduces the document. It explains what AI is, clarifies common misconceptions, and outlines how the toolkit can be used, including various use scenarios and user personas.
  2. AI Trends and Developments: This section explores the latest trends in AI, investigating how AI is reshaping industries such as finance, manufacturing, and retail. It includes statistics and examples of AI-driven innovations like autonomous systems, predictive maintenance, fraud detection, and customer service automation.
  3. Benefits of AI in Key Business Areas: This section details the benefits of implementing AI tools across various company functions, including management, communication, marketing, human resources, and production. It also discusses how to assess the return on investment (ROI) for AI initiatives and justifies the associated costs.
  4. Competencies and Strategies for AI Implementation: This section addresses the challenges businesses face in integrating AI solutions. It offers guidance on translating business problems into computational problems and outlines the necessary competencies—technical skills, strategic planning, and ethical considerations—required for successful AI implementation in SMEs. Additionally, it provides a step-by-step roadmap for technology selection and AI integration.
  5. Regulations, Standards, and Ethical Use of AI: This section covers the relevant EU standards, regulations, and guidelines for AI. It also discusses the importance of ethics and sustainability in AI applications.
  6. Case Studies and Best Practices: The final section presents case studies and best practices from the partner countries involved in the project, offering practical examples of successful AI implementation.

The partners are currently working on creating the content, and by September, the first draft of the Toolkit in English will be published.
